Soul crooner James Ingram has made a career singing R&B ballads like 'Just Once,' 'I Don't Have the Heart,' 'One Hundred Ways,' and 'Baby Come To Me.'

Ingram got his start in the business playing with Revelation Funk before landing gigs with the late Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye and behind the Coasters for Dick Clark.

After meeting and collaborating with music legend Quincy Jones, theAkron, Ohio native went on to earn multi Grammy awards and back-to-back Oscar nominations. Ingram is also the first artist to open a Grammy ceremony with a ballad and the only artist to win a Grammy without having his own album in release.

Ingram penned Michael Jackson's hit 'P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)' for his 'Thriller' CD, and sang on the love anthem, 'The Secret Garden' alongside Barry White, Al B. Sure and El Debarge on Jones' multi-platinum 'Back on the Block' album.

With a new inspiration CD out called 'Stand (in the Light),' Ingram shares with you, the BV Buzz readers, just what the holiday season means to him.
